Mick's Story
Is everyone else old or is it just me?? WOW, I'm 40. Where did the time go? Lets see....... After high school I worked for Eagle warehouse in Milan for 8 yrs. What a waste of time.I hated that job. So after they closed I had to figure out what I wanted to do. College was not an option, I hate school. Well, being a homeowner and after many home improvements I figured it out. (with the help of my wife). I wanted to be a carpenter. So I served a 4 year apprenticeship and became a journeyman carpenter. (Hey, didn't I say I hated school.... Oh well). It's nice to get up in the morning and go do something you love 5 days a week. I've been working for Estes Construction in Davenport for the past 10 yrs. Currently as Superintendent of construction. Lets see, what else. I've been married to my wonderful wife for 15 yrs this coming June 2008. She is my rock.(not because I'd like to throw her in the lake) Because She has always stood by my side, she does'nt always agree with me, but she's there for me. Christi is a Nurse for Genesis at the Silvis office. Christi and I have 2 wonder...Expand for more
ful children, Ryan(12yrs.) and Kaitlyn(7yrs.) They keep us busy with their activities about everyday of the week. Ryan plays Soccer, Baseball, Football and Basketball. Kaitlyn plays Soccer and Baseball. So we are usually at a practice or a game. I think it's well worth it! Let's see, What else.............. We live in rural Geneseo. I built our home the summer of 2001. Talk about a true test of marriage. It's pretty quiet. We live on a dead end road with about 8 other home's. We have 2 Dog's, Baron is a 2yr. old German Shepherd (outside) and Hunter. He's also 2 yrs. Yorkie(inside) and also a cat, also 2 yrs named Alex. I'm not a cat lover, but when you live in the middle of a corn field you need a cat. I guess our hobbie's are running our kid's around and working in the yard. Well, thats about it. Pretty boring huh??
