After graduating from Ruskin High School in 1972 I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1973 as a Law Enforcement Specialist. My first base was Keesler AFB, in Mississippi, where I got married in 1974. My next assignment was Osan AB, in Korea, then Little Rock AFB, in Arkansas, and then back to Keesler AFB, in Mississippi. I was then sent to High Wycombe AS, in England, where my daughter was born in 1982. After that I was assigned to Laughlin AFB, in Texas, and then it was on to Sondrestom AB, in Greenland, where I was posted as the Chief of Police.
