Micki's Story
After a long and winding road, and living in several different states, I am now located in Indiana, Pennsylvania and am a tenured professor of Management Information Systems and Decision Sciences (computers and statistics) at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Our university is fairly small with only about 16,000 students but I love my job.
The picture I have posted was made in January, 2014 when I was teaching MBA classes in Bangalore, India. I hope to get to teach in Singapore soon and possibly England and Germany.

n WWII? At least that was the rumor.) I guess she had more influence than we knew. She was certainly a special person in my life. Always so positive and supportive of me. I think that my love of technology was partly her doing and I remember her and Ms. Husky, Mr. Beckler, and Ms. Loudermilk as being some terrific teachers. My biggest regret was not taking advantage of a better foundation in Chemistry and Physics with Mr. Lynch.
I never dreamed I would end up in the field of math and technology or academia. I thought I was going to study architecture, music, language and religion in the field of Classical Culture. It's interesting how plans change when opportunities show up (one door closes and another opens)......
