Mike's Story

Life I now live north of edmonton on a farm , my wife colleen who I met on my first tour to germany (shes canadian) raises ,shows and sells siberian huskys and flat coated retrievers (bendenkennels.com).we have about 40 dogs now. I work in k div hq in edmonton, last august our house burned down and we lost everything . the worst was the loss of our memories ,paintings and pictures from germany our furniture and all the plaques tophys and awards both Colleen and i have gathered in our military career. in august this year i went to visit my ailing mother who lives in napanee in a nursing home then decided to visit the old home of listowel which i havent seen in 31 yrs. I went to the archives and looked at the yearbooks , i even remembered some of the names , took pictures of where i used to live and go to school. all the other pictures were destroyed in the fire .I didnt dare try to look anyone up id probably have gotten arrested or something , then returned to edmonton . we have replaced our house and furniture and were about ready for winter . My mother loosing her memory and me loosing my memories due to the fire made me think of this site and try to look up old friends . I must put in a good word for the Listowel legion , the gang there let me sit wiht them and treated me like I never left I thank them for that. School what school ?
