Mike's Story

Life What's up friends, This is Mike Dobbins also known as the Movie guy. I can't belive all the people that are on this thing; I see that almost all my Eng IV girls are on here. Mandy, Amanda, Alex, Brandy, Daphinia, Jamice, Enjoli, Tagiya, Raymond, and Alicia just to name the ones I can think of. I also see that crazy Dexter is on here to. Basicly it looks like if you were in JAG and not just for the chicks then your on this thing. I'm going to try to get to all of you guys, but some of you didn't take your yearbook picture. Trying to remember your first name without a picture is hard and a last name forget it. I was trying to think of Alicia Yarbrough but all I could think of was Prescious. Ok I know this part is suppose to be about me. Here it is. I left high school with the idea of college and a movie career. What I got was a slap in the face. I went to college for a minute. Meet a great girl. Dated very hevaly for about a good minute. Got a job at a movie theater. Brook up with the first girl. Paused for a second, then meet another girl. Then thats about the time everything and all those minutes started to catch up. I had to do my first real break up and I was in a job that I found out was completly on the flip side of were I was trying to get to. I was stuck finacialy. Oh know, how did it happen, I had huge dreams. I left the movie theater after about two and half years; I got a job at a bank. Things were great until I realised it's still a job. I was just about to give in when it happend. I guess enoff good deeds in a persons life can lead to something good. I was 24 years old when I saw it and will be retiered when I turn 27. Life is good. Thats about the last 5 years in a nutshell. Workplace Ok lets talk about the important stuff. How may of you new what you wanted or new where you wanted to be in life at the end or just out of high school? For me I new exactly were I was going. That wasn't my problem. What I found was there were many paths leading in all diffrent direction. The hard part wasn't taking the path it was the fact that there was no one there to guide me. For thirteen years I had been coached and shown how to do things, and if I got a little ahead there was someone there to help me figure it out. So now school is over, not a big deal until I actually go into the real world. what I just talked ...Expand for more
about, having someone there to help me didn't hit me until I was stuck in life. Do you know why people are so miserable the older they get or why you get those stomach or headachs on Sunday. It's because you have to wake up at a time you don't want to, go to a place that you probably don't enjoy, spend your time there with people that you probably don't like and get told when and how long you can have for lunch. If that doesn't happen to you and you love your job thats great. Your diffrent then almost everyone else in America. Thats ok, I'm not nocking it. There are some very happy people in this world. I just don't know any of them aside from the business that I'm in. For the people who hate work, I fell you. Why do we hate it so much. Because you have to be at a certain place at certaim time wearing a certain outfit. You have to take lunch at a certain time and your only given so much time to do it. Your expected to generate money for someone who you already don't like or you've never even seen before. We do this five or even six times a week just to have those two days off. If you ever watch hamsters run in that wheel. They do this thing were they run-run-run then hold on, and go one two times around then run-run-run. Thats like us. Mon-Tues-Wed-Thur-Fri Saterday Sunday Mon-Tue... When it's all said and done the hamster never gets anywhere. It doesn't even look like they've lost any wait; they just keep crammen those little green balls into there mouth. I made a decision to get off the wheel. Military Like most young men, I gave the military alot of thought. Infact I was at one point a car ride away from enlisting into the NAVY. I chickend out, however I 100% support the troops and the reason. I'm in the business of setting people free. I have some very close friends who are in the military. JOSE SOTO - NAVY CURT RECKER - NAVY TJ - NAVY JOSE - AIRFORCE These are just a handful of my friends who do what needs to be done so that we can have the freedom to live the way we want to. THANKYOU!!! Don't listen to the news. The people who know what's going on know that your doing the right thing for the world. We know bad things are happening, but we also know that there are great things happening too. You guy's are awsome. GOD BLESS YOU!!! GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.
