Mike's Story
Life
Played varsity soccer, water polo, and JV tennis. Was in the marching band, jazz ensemble and concert bands. Moved to Concord in my senior year and graduated from Concord High. While at Concord, was in the marching band, and the jazz ensemble.
Workplace
I started with AMR in 1984 as an EMT, becoming a paramedic in 1986 after graduating from the Stanford Pre-hospital Care Program. I became an instructor at Stanford until the program was taken over by a local community college. a State University in December 2024. I was a preceptor, IT instructor, and a Field Training Officer with AMR. My work claim to fame is I delivered the first baby ever born on a BART train. I also was a motorcade paramedic for President Clinton during his visit to Pleasanton in 1995, and again for Vice President Gore in 1996. I've worked as a patrol volunteer with the Pleasanton Police Department from 2004-2006. I'm married with 4 children, and live in the SF Bay Area. I am currently working as a Paramedic Captain for Falck Alameda County EMS since 2019, after working as an ED Technician at John Muir Medical Center-Walnut Creek Campus.
