Mike's Story
I graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor's degree in Journalism in 1988. That year, I also married a girl from Naperville (she went to Naperville North High School). As the years passed, school and work brought us to Iowa, Mississippi, Indiana and finally back to the Chicago suburbs. No kids, but we did have several adorable dachshunds. We divorced after 19 years.

with a wonderful woman named Robin, and we got married last summer on the beach at Nags Head, N.C. She brought four adorable kids from her last marriage into our family, and they range from 14 to 17 years. We live about 45 minutes west of Toledo, Ohio. Robin is head teacher at a pre-school run by the YMCA. I'm art director of Public Utilities Fortnightly, a magazine for leaders of public utility companies.
