John's Story
Life
Following the pursuit of my personal dream (playing music for a living), I wound up in Data Processing. I am a Senior Systems Programmer at BlueCross BlueShield of Mississippi (YES! Mississippi!!) maintaining 32 CICS regions and main-frame communications. I still play guitar (very often!), keyboards, multiple wind instruments, and just about whatever makes noise. led 'The Remynders' and an acoustic trio called 'Buie Hamman & Porter' (starting to record our first CD - Summer 2008). I am happily married and the father of two children (a daughter, 20 and a son, 16) both of them are musically inclined. I also sing tenor in our church's choir. Havin' fun living life to the fullest!!
Hope to see some of you at our next class reunion in 2010!!! I'll bring my guitar & we can play music in the quad during lunch!
