Mike's Story
After graduation in 1959, worked summer for Blister Rust Control (Forest Service) as a second clerk in Clarkia, Idaho.
Hired full-time in October 1963 as a ranger district clerk in northern Idaho.
February, 1967 drafted into Uncle Sam's Army re: Vietnam War. In summer, 1969 elisted in Army--serving another tour in Vietnam and two tours in Thailand. During this time visited every state except five--vacationed in Japan, Australia, and Hawaii. Stateside locations--Ft. Lewis, WA; Ft. Sill, OK; and Ft. Rucker, AL--an outprocessing clerk in all three. After tiring from living out of a suitcase, prepared my discharge papers in late December 1975 and discharged in late January 1976.

n; a hard-core democrat since that time.
Have an almost 9-year old Shiba-Inu very-spoiled dog named Kago. He takes me on walks twice daily. Also, a light-brown rat named Precious Peanut, and two parakeets named Vini and Bali.
Also, will always remember and pay tribute to some wonderful high school teachers--Miss Herbert, Mr. Ostness, Miss Smith, Miss Weymouth, Miss LeFevre, Mr. Brown, Mr. Foster, Mrs. Oscarson, Mrs. Scofield, Miss Grant, Mr. Raymond, Mrs. Leland; and, grade school teachers--Mrs. Neyens, Mr. Shawn, Miss Johnson and Mr. Anderson [6th grade], Mrs. Gill, Miss Gould, Mrs. Dixon, Mrs. Merrick, Mrs. Reasor and Miss Benner, and kindergarten teacher Mrs. Draper. How these wonderful teachers put up with me, I'll never know. Also, all teachers at Seattle Central and Spokane Vocational (now Spokane Jr. College).
And, life goes on.....
