Mike's Story
Born in Gladewater, raised in Kilgore, graduated from Kilgore High School 1958, received BA and BSME degrees from Rice University 1962 and 1963. Married Re Cowart in May 1963 and spent first winter together in eastern Montana at 30 below zero. Have a daughter born in July 1966 and a son born in January 1968. puter automation. Lived and worked in Montana, Oklahoma, California, Louisiana, Texas, Sultanate of Oman, and the Netherlands, spending the last 7 career years working overseas and visiting 30 countries in Europe and Asia. Retired in 1998 at age 59 and settled just outside New Braunfels on five acres overlooking the Guadalupe River.
Interests include Macintosh computers, surfing the web, crossword puzzles, stamp collecting, home theater, digital photography, woodworking, wood carving, military aircraft / air shows, RVing.
