Larry's Story
Well now, I left school at Auburn in 1964, in the 11th grade. I was on the swimming/diving team, with my best friend Bruce Sumpter, and other folks like John Smith, haven't heard from him yet. Saw Bruce a few years back on a business trip back to Rockford. We went out for drinks and dinner with another best bud, Dan Hogan, still haven't seen him in the class room lately either. mputer geek, notably, Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington DC, and a few other firms working contracts, until I decided to return to a job that I did on active duty, namely as a Customs Agent for the Department of Defense in Germany. I have been in Germany now going on 5 years in March of 2011, and I plan to formally retire to more sedentary lifestyle in 2012 when I reach 66 years. My hobbies are relatively challenging, I am heavily involved in the design and construction of computer controlled quilting machines now. My first machine was completed a couple of months ago, and is being used heavily by my wife of 39 years, Ms Grada S. Lamb. She is a native of the Netherlands. We met during my first assignment in Germany. I was stationed in northern Germany very close to the Dutch border where we met and have been together since.
