Hello my fellow classmates - After graduating from Safford High School, my parents moved to California for a year in search of work. Of course, my brothers and I went also. I loved California and all its activities, but they didn't. My parents and brothers moved back to Tucson, where they spent the rest of their lives. I stayed in California, went to UCLA and then to a private college. I enjoyed my 20th, and 30th high school reunion, but was disappointed there wasn't anything planned for the 40th. (last year) Been thinking of Merit College lately, especially "Mr. & Mrs. Gumpert" Great people, and very generous. I was in California alone, going to school, and they invited me to their house for Xmas. Don't think I'll every forget that Xmas in 71' - - or was it in 72'? While attending Merit College, I was told there would be a recruiter coming to the school, to interview for a position as a Court Reporter with a large firm.
