George M. (Mike)'s Story
I was born and raised in a rural area of northeastern Ohio; the youngest of four brothers. Being the youngest by seven years, I grew up as somewhat an only child, but my childhood days were wondrous! They were filled with all the joy, the mystery, and the trials and tribulations of a very mischievous youth. But somehow, I managed to survive!
Shortly after my high school graduation, I entered the military; it was the thing to do back then. After the completion of my enlistment, I joined the ranks of the gainfully employed, and over the next several years I completed my formal education.
Along the way I married, fathered a wonderful son and a beautiful daughter, divorced and remarried their mother (giving it another chance), divorced again, later I married again, and had another terrific son. It was a tran...Expand for more
sfer in my employment that brought me to East Texas in 1980, with another divorce to soon follow.

Then in 1986, I met and married the most wonderful woman a man could ever hope to know. I had finally found the missing piece to my life's jigsaw puzzle, and my world was at last complete. And for eighteen years, it was complete. Then on a snowy February morning in 2004, the Lord called Anna home.
Although I've now been living in the Lone Star State for over three decades, I still miss the home of my youth and it's distinct seasonal changes; especially autumn. Autumn always meant high school football games, hayrides, bonfires, weenie roasts, and fresh apple cider. But what they say is true, "you can never go home!"
