Mike's Story
I grew up in Kansas City and attended Guardian Angels and Swinney grade schools then graduated from Westport in 1973. I left KC that August to join the Air Force and have lived all over the country since then... places like Campaign, IL, Charleston, SC, Sacramento, CA, Grand Forks, ND, Rapid City, SD and Abilene TX. In the Air Force I flew C-141 cargo transport aircraft and B-52 and B-1 bombers. I logged 3000 flying hours in my career before retiring as a major in 1999.
I married my high school sweetie Susan Simpson and we had a daughter Karen Ann. Next I married Rhenda and we had three children, Kelly Suzanne, Morgan Joseph and Emma Louise. Finally I got the whole marriage thing figured out when I moved to Abilene, Texas and ma...Expand for more
rried Susie. It's been 18 years now (as of 2013) and she seems to really like me a lot (so far).
These days I sell bulk chemicals to pay the bills and ride motorcycles to make life worth living. Karen has three children... Tyler, Abbey and Emory. Kelly also has three kids... Bella, Layne and Vaughn. Morgan just got married in May and Emma is getting married in August, so more grand babies are surely on the way. I would like six more grand kids, but they tell me it's not up to me. Fair enough. So I'll just be happy with whatever comes my way.
I enjoy reconnecting with old classmates. So drop me a line and let's get caught up. Even if we didn't know each other that well in school, I'll bet we have some friends in common. --Mike
