Mike's Story
Life
I live in Lincoln with my wife, Jane, and three kids: Kristin, Alex and Lauren. I work for NET Television (public television) as a news producer/reporter, working primarily on news documentaries. My personal highlights include a trip to cover Nebraska soldiers deployed in Bosnia; embedding with soldiers training for Iraq in the Mojave desert; following researchers on a 700 mile tornado chase through the Midwest; and spending 10 days inside a Congressional campaign.

eceived a bachelor of journalism degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1986. I worked as a reporter/anchor for the Lincoln CBS affiliate, KOLN-TV, from 1986 to 1989; and in public relations at Nebraska Wesleyan University from 1989 to 2000, heading the PR department for the last two years.
Free time? Seems to be hard to come by, but I still do some running and play basketball. I've also found myself coaching basketball and softball for my kids. Life is good - except for achy knees, I can't complain!
