James (Mike)'s Story
I did not get to graduate with the rest of my friends in 1977 due to missing too many days of school in the 11th grade (due to fathers illness with cancer, someone had to stay home with him) and not having enough credits, so I had to do the extra year of 1/2 days and graduated in 1978. After High School I joined the U.S. Navy and rode Submarines. I am now retired Navy and living in Converse, TX. I am married and going on 31 yrs of marri...Expand for more
age in November. I have 2 children a boy and a girl who are both married and on their own. I have been in the IT Industry for 15+ years and have lived in Kandahar, Afghanistan for 3 yrs supporting the computers and networks of the U.S. Army. It looks like I may be returning again due to the economy. The family separation sucks and thought once I retired from the military that their would be no more family separations. BOY WAS I WRONG.
