Mike's Story
Life
Well let's see... I'm now a senior scientist and database admin at a drug discovery company in NC. I am into martial arts and snowboarding, surfing, and yes I still skateboard. I have a family, 2 daughters. I stay pretty active so far... party, work a lot, travel some and basically try to live each day like it's my last.
Workplace
Worked till 1989 at the Univ. of Calif. at San Diego in the Pharmacology Dept.. In 1989 took a position at Burroughs-Wellcome in Research Triangle Park North Caroli...Expand for more
na. Stayed with Glaxo when they merged with BW in 1995 and again with Glaxo-SmithKline when SK merged with Glaxo in 2001. Later in 2001 quit GSK and went to a small drug discovery company called Ardent Pharmaceuticals (still in RTP) and have stayed with them through the most recent merger (now called Enhance Biotech Inc).
Recently was offered a good position at ALZA Inc. that would have very possibly meant living back in San Diego.... but in the end I turned it down. Hope I made the right decision! ;)
