He earned a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Arizona State University and a Bachelors in Computer Science from the City College of New York Grove School of Engineering (summa cum laude). He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the American Society for Quality. He is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery. He taught college-level computer courses at Maricopa Technical Community College and was on the executive committee of the American Electronics Association Oregon Council. Mr. Lewitt has been recognized with several honors. He received the Advanced Engineering Program Award from Honeywell in 1976 and the Product of the Year Award from Electronic Products Magazine in 1980. City College of New York presented Mr. Lewitt with a Career Achievement Award in 2013 as well as the Engineering Alumni Award and Eliza Ford Prize in 1973. The chief executive officer of Intuit also honored him with an Excellence in Leadership Award for his innovation and commitment to sustainable, repeatable software processes. Furthermore, Mr. Lewitt's accomplishments have been featured in multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America. He has brought transformative leadership and a passion for excellence to some of the biggest names in technology, spearheading numerous advances in the field during the last four decades.
