Milissa's Story
Any real friends would remember that I've always been a true friend - someone they can always count on in a pinch. Someone they call call and cry to at 2am or get a ride to the hospital or home from the bar. I'm still the same, with more self confidence. I don't need anyone else's approval. I only need to know that I'm doing right in G-d's eyes.
You aren't likely to find me at a Class Reunion. If the people in my class didn't like me then, who cares what they think of me now? I learned to be okay with that and today it doesn't bother me at all.
I always wanted to be a musician in the President's Own when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a ridiculous idea. As it turns out, they were right.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Martin Scott, because he was a positive influence on my life. And I finally met up with him the first week of December, 2008. ers ago and he assures me of how unhappy he'd had made me and I whole-heartedly agreed. He would have embarrassed me every moment of our lives with his childish antics. What was funny when we were kids is humiliating after 30.
My best friend would tell you I'm shy, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as outgoing and sociable. I often play hostess, but I do it because the job needs to be done.
Been a single mom to some awesome 10-year old, homeschooled girls for over 2 years now. I'm home with a bad back.
The girls and I attend a Messianic congregation out in Gig Harbor, WA, called Beit Tefillah. We love our community and love to volunteer as well.
We love being in the water, reading, going to co-op and spending time with friends. We are also learning Hebrew and American Sign Language.
Our house burned down just before Christmas and we are in the process of getting another one. We lost our Westie, Button, and gave away our cat, Zipper. Hope to move in by President's Day, 2009.
