Milissa's Story

Hey everyone! Boy did we have fun at the 35th Reunion "Return to the Island" . It was a very special evening and we had more fun than I thought would be possible! The night was awash with memories of our past, a fun ride to the island, drinking champagne on the way! We then danced and gambled and just chatted the night away at the Greektown Casino! It was magical, tender and delightful! We are so BLESSED to have so many classmates that attend and join the party. Honestly, no one cares about anything but reconnecting and celebrating our past and sharing stories, memories and good times. It's been a great chance to just be together and have fun. The ONLY thing that would have made it better would have been to see more of our classmates there! I really hope you'll consider attending the next event! I'd love to see you! I am doing well, working as a high school counselor at Grosse Pointe North High School. I love my job and last year started ...Expand for more
travelling with People to People taking students on trips overseas.I have started to travel every summer. I've been to Australia and this past summer I travelled to London, Paris and Rome. Next summer I will be travelling to England, France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. It's been a wonderful opportunity for me. I am now a widow. My husband Joe died three years ago after suffering a stroke and developing a MRSA infection. Life can sure throw you some grand surpises. We had three great kids and they are officially "grown up" I still teach aerobics and an interval/strength class at the YMCA in St. Clair Shores...didn't think I'd be doing that for 25 years at 53! I also teach at Oakland University in the Counseling program one or two classes a year. Please feel free to contact me or send me an e-mail...I promise to write back!
