Millie's Story

Hi everybody! Well I graduated from Warren Central in 1984 and married Jerry Childers from Michigan in May of 1985. We moved to Michigan when we were married and lived there for 5 months and moved back to Indiana. We lived on Butler off of 21st and Emerson Ave. and had 2 children, Kimberly Marie born 1987 and Mark Bradley born 1990. We then moved to Shelbyville, IN and lived there for 4 years and then we moved back to Byron, Michigan and lived with Jerry's dad when Jerry's mom was diagnosed with Alzhiemers and was placed in the nursing home. I home schooled my daughter while we lived with his dad and then in 1996 we moved to our own home just around the corner from his dad. There I home schooled both of my children till my daughter was in 7th grade and my son was in 5th grade. Then we sent them to Genesee...Expand for more
Christian School in Burton, MI, and I went to work! YEAH! I worked for Grandmas Loft, VG's Food Center, Acosta Sales and Management as a territory manager, Vic Canever in Fenton, Paragon Corvette Reproduction Parts then we moved to South Carolina after Kimberly graduated from Genesee Christian in 2006. My son will be graduating from Stratford High School January 2009 and then we will be looking for a house in the country!! I work for a developer that is out of NY. I work in the field and absolutely love my job! Never a dull moment. The weather here is AWSOME! Winters are like fall! I do miss the snow 1 day a year and that is on Christmas day.
