I enjoyed life at West Hill to the fullest. There were very few dull moments.It was non stop. I looked forward to coming to school every day(not necessarily for the school work), but to meet my friends. And, once the school day finished, it was either off to playing football or curling or a trip to the Teen Lounge at the NDG Y. Saturday afternoons were filled up playing for the Montreal Wanderers Rugby Club, which involved trips to play other teams in Quebec City,Ottawa and elsewhere throughtout Quebec and Ontario.Come Friday nights, we would go to the Hampstead Hop or the one at St. Phillips Church. On Saturday nights, it was going to dances at The Montreal West Town Hall, Lachine Y, Victoria Hall, Marymount High School or the MAAA to name a few. B...Expand for more
elonging to a HI-Y Club, we had a meeting once a week in the evening. During the winter months, we would go up on the week-ends to the Inn, Nymark's and Nadeau's in St. Sauveur.
It was the friends I made at West Hill and at the other local High Schools that were the most meaningful to me. To this day, I still keep in touch with many of them on a regular basis. While, I did not devote my total effort to school work at West Hill as I should have, I nevertheless would not change a thing. As it worked out, I graduated from Sir George Williams University with a BA and a major in English. After working for the CN and Royal Bank, I went on to own my own trade show display company. For the past 10 years, I have been working on my family tree ias a hobby and have successfully traced my ancestors back to the early 1500's. ,
