Life After high school, I went to college at LSU for 3 years and was in the LSU Tiger Band Color Guard (flag team) which was an awesome experience. I left LSU after 3 years, with only 1 1/2 years to go. I could kick myself for that now and that's my one big regret in life - not finishing college. But at 20, I got a job as a receptionist in a 2-attorney law firm across the street from the N.O. Convention Center. After a year there, I went on to a much larger firm inn N.O. where I received most of my legal assistant training. I was single, in my 20's and loving life. I started doing musical theater locally in Gretna, Metairie, and the French Quarter; dancing, singing, acting and even choreographing some of the shows I was in. I loved it!! That was my dream except it was happening in N.O. and not on Broadway in New York. I did that full time (5 shows a week, and rehearsing for the next show) for 6 years while working full-time (40 hours a week) as well. I can only saying being in my 20's allowed me to keep that kind of schedule. At 27, I married my ex-husband and we moved to Houston (it lasted 16 months & I will not bore you with the facts of this short story).
