Mindy's Story
Life
I live in Coopersville, MI for right now. Hopefully after a year we'll move somewhere else cuz it sucks big time up here. You can't get a job to save your life here!! My second marriage has ended after 6 years and I'm now with a wonderful guy named Matt. So many things have happened to me throughout my life. More bad than good. I lost my mom back in 2005 which is the worst thing of all!! Just to let my friends know that I had in Lutie Elementary and in Taylor County High, I'm still the same girl you used to know. I really haven't changed much!
College
Three years after I graduated from high school, I decided to attend Taylor Technical Institute for a certificate program to try and get a good job. I took Administrative Assistant classes in 1997 and graduated December of 1998. Needless to say just earning a certificate didn't help one bit to put what I learned to use for a job. d was majoring in Medical Office Systems but never got to finish.
Workplace
I've held many jobs since the age of 16. Only three of them were outside of being a cashier for a grocery store, convenience store or fast food place. I must say those three jobs were my most favorite ones I had. I was an office assistant for the Department Of Transportation back in 1997. It was just a temporary position and I hated to leave. The next job I had was assistant manager for a bar in 1999 til 2000. That one was the bomb!! I loved that job so much. I got mad at the owner for selling the bar to another person. The money I made was excellent there! I had so many nights of fun running the place. And finally, the last non cashier job I had was being a sales rep for Olan Mills Photography back in 2001. I had to sell portrait packages for them. Needless to say I learned quick from them to never work for commission again! But in between those three jobs I held several cashier jobs. What's next for work, who knows?
