Mandy's Story
Life
My degree and teaching certificate were well earned from the University of Alabama in 1997. I am currently teaching third grade at Faucett-Vestavia Elementary in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. (The upper elementary grades are the best!) I spent my first three summers working on my master's degree at the University. Now, I am a "master" teacher! g if they see me in the hallway. Another perk is the large supply of portraits the children have drawn of me. This collection is priceless.
There has been one bump in the road of life that threw me for a loop. The bump is a brain tumor. Long story short, 85% of the tumor was removed in 2003, and I am healthy. I've learned a LOT about myself during this time and am grateful for my supportive husband and friends. God has blessed me richly!!!!
