Misty's Story
Still in Vegas...
If u'r wondering if it's the lifestyle of the city or the weather, it's neither! Twas a vacation that brought me here and tis love that's kept me here. ;)
I had a friend in Hawaii who had moved here in '90 and when she returned to the islands for the summer she couldn't shut-up about Vegas. She insisted I come for a few months so I packed my bags after the summer and returned with her for a "Vegas Vacation". We had a BLAST - I delayed my return flight twice!
By the time I was ready to return to Hawaii a fine young man had caught my eye; and had I been able to convince him to cut his family ties and run away to the islands with me I would have, but alas he was too attached to his Vegas family. And so, before I knew it, I had grown roots and settled into a rather domesticated lifestyle. They say all good things must come to an end. BUT they also say, As one door closes another one opens...
Love found me again. This time in a New Year's Kiss! We've in fact been inseparable since entering the new millennium, and (at the time of mine updating this) just celebrated 15yrs! Most people think I'm insane to have left Hawaii but if I had to come to Vegas to find "The Love of My Life" it was well worth the gamble! Over all.......Life is good, love is grand, and God has been great to us.
I've never actually been married, not "officially". But those of u who know me shouldn't find that surprising as I've never been a conventional kind of girl. I did have a child (a son in '89) but due to circumstances and my situation chose the difficult but responsible and unselfish choice of Adoption. There's not a day when I don't think of Cameron. But, that being said, making that choice was the best thing I could ever give/do for him.
