Life Well actually born the son and grandson of farmers who had only 5 years before farmed with horses before moving to Rush county. My mother the daughter of a carpenter met my father at her job at the lumber yard. From this encounter fours sons and three daughter were born I being the oldest with the youngest 15 years later. Spending the first 13 years of ones life on a farm with horses, cattle, hogs, row crops, etc. as remembered was idealist. Having the freedom to range anywhere within the limits of hunger and strength on daily adventures some lost to time and place. The first big city life came in Crawfordsville where we resided during my Jr. High years was a dramatic evolution before arriving in Logansport in 1969. Should I now say this was a major awakening some of which may have come from a self induced fog. The three years at LHS were difinately my High School years, I won't confess for others nor shall I confess my own, immunity granted a relief for a few. After a scholary tour of high school having majored in any class without a book. The choice of my father and his brothers influenced me to join the the navy. My reward came when I recieved not one but two complete all expence paid cruises through out the entire orient above the equator. Having now become a salt and a limited world traveler while learning a trade that became very useful was all benefit. Glad to have lived it but not wanting to repeat I returned to Logansport. Now the tale takes a turn for the worst [ just kidding needed to keep your interests ]!! Good old safe and known Logansport welcomed me back.
