Marvin's Story

I got married on 3 june 1978 to Diane Waltz from columbus. We just had our 30th anniv. this year We have a son chris, who was born on 9 sept. 1979, and a daughter Stacey, who was born oct 4 1983. Our grandson Tyler (chris) is 9 and our grandson Ayden (stacey) is less than 1 yr. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have coffee, smokes, and music to be able to deal with the day-to-day. We have lived in and around the edinburgh area all these years, and we finally settled in a home of our own in hog bottoms, and i'm pretty sure we won't move again. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel horse stalls and add on a barn. My dream home would be 50+ acre horse farm. If I won $100 million, I'd give 10% of it to orphans and abused children, then spend the rest on the family, grandkids and rescue shelter. My current age is 49. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old. I was so completely wrong. I work at johnson county park just west of edinburgh. it has it's ups and downs like any job,but i get to do a lot of different things using my hands to fix or build new things ,so it doesn't get boring My best friend would tell you I'm a big softie, but people who don't know me ve...Expand for more
ry well would probably describe me as grumpy. style? I don't have one, jeans and sneakers are fine and cheap. I share my home with my wife, three cats, two dogs, and my grandson tyler(part-time), which I find always interesting, sometimes irritating, but never boring.. My first job was at reed's gas station, where I got paid 2.35/hr to pump gas. What I remember most about it is it's where i met diane. i relax building something in the shop or watching a movie or surfing the net I always wanted to be a guiter player when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a dumb idea. As it turns out, they were right. My inspiration comes from the early pioneers who left everything behind to tame the wilderness and carve out a life for thier family without any help from anyone The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Carolyn Reed, because i never explained why I was always leaving suddenly. If I had one do over, I would tell someone about the abuse at home, of course, back then, there wasn't as much done about it as there is today. the fear of reprisals kept me silent. My old classmates might be surprised by the weight iv'e put on since school, i've gone from 155 to 195
