Mitchell's Story

Life Wanna catch up? Write me at mobusml "at" gmail.com. Looks like my family is in Hilliard, Ohio to stay. Madison has been recognized by the state of Ohio in its "Gifted and Talented" program for academic excellence and achievement. Lisa has a great job that allows her to work from home, so she can be the Mom that she wants to be and the wife that I am blessed to have. I have a great job where I get paid to do something I enjoy and that challenges me every day. I'll never forget my 20 years in the Army, but I am truly ready for this next chapter in my life. Oh, and for the record... Civilian life is MUCH harder than military life. School Biggest crush? No question... Julie Richards, but Art Walton got up the courage to ask her first. Mrs. Brown, French class, inspired me like no other teacher. To this day, foreign language has been the benchmark of my career and the gift that has brought me to understand who I am. Workplace I'll take my job. It's rare that we can find our niche at so young an age. Thanks to Jim...Expand for more
, Adrian, Dave, Rick, and most of all Bill for getting not only my foot in the door, but my butt in a job doing what I love to do. Military 20 years of service around the world, peacetime and war, has taught me one very important lesson that I have tried to pass on to my children. Measure others by who they are, not what they are. Having traveled the world and met countless people, I can truly say that until you've walked a mile in their shoes or taken the time to get to know them, no one has any business judging them. The experience of living overseas and the gifts I have been able to give to my kids are the memories I'll treasure most now that I've retired from the service. Being able to share this life with Lisa, my wife, makes the journey worth the effort and the challenges. It is with great pride that I say that Trayel, my son, has chosen to serve his country in uniform, as well. Trayel will do very well in service with the U.S. Navy. Fair winds and following seas Son. Not too bad for a country boy from Vermont, eh?
