Mitchell's Story
I just want to know ONE thing. This question has plagued me for over 22 years. I was 14 and we had to move from Houston to Florida. It was a special time in my life as I had finally gotten enough courage to talk to and interact with Rachel Ruttenberg.
I went to school with Rachel at the Academy from 1st grade to 4th grade. Rachel was talented. She played the violin and she was a tom boy in the sense she was not afraid to play ball, but she WAS BEAUTIFUL. Every boy in the class had to have felt the way I felt.

her at a JCC basketball game between the two schools. I found myself thinking about her and I actually got the nerve to call her and arrange a tennis date with her. She was just as I had remembered and hoped. She was sweet and so pretty. Regrettably, I had to move out of the state shortly after that and I lost touch with her for good.
I did track down her parents at some point, but got nowhere with any useful information.
I always wondered what happened to my first crush, even though Rachel NEVER knew that I thought of her in that way. I would love to hear from her and know she has had a good life.
