Life
Let's see... Here's the incredibly condensed version: After leaving high school, I made a living (believe it or not!) playing in different bands for about 12 years, and then 'retired' to become a sign painter. After 16 years of that - and two bouts of lead poisoning - I gave it up as a bad habit. And then God got ahold of me... Now I'm an ordained pastor ministering to the marginalized in the inner city.
School
I remember: hearing the Moody Blues during class change the first day of school and thought someone had taken over the PA system... skipping Mr. Shostal's geography class to play guitar... trying real hard to learn the difference between a 'tort' and a 'tart' in Mr. Campbell's law class... that it was not always appropriate to joke around during Mr. Marlett's lit class... and that despite M...Expand for more

College
I waited until I was 44 to go back to school and, even then, did most of my classes online or by distance education. My only regret is that I hadn't applied myself this way when I was in Scarlett - but that would have been too much like work...
But! The upside is that I graduated in April of 2005 with a BA in pastoral ministry.
Workplace
Came into the sign business as an afterthought - needed to settle down after years as a road musician. It was scary at first, but soon enough it came to provide a good, solid way to be 'artistic' and still make a living. It really is too bad about the lead in the paints, though; after two bouts of lead poisoning, I figured it was time for a career change...
