e Air Force Systems Command, in Plattsburgh, New York working for the Strategic Air Command and all over Alaska based out of Anchorage at Elemdorf AFB working for the 1369 Det 5 (AVS) Audio Visual Squadron. Then off to College at San Francisco State University which led to photo photojournalism internships in Lakeland and Fort Myers, Florida, then to work in Hailey (Sun Valley) Idaho at the Wood River Journal with Bruce Willis as a neighbor. Then back through Miami and San Francisco and onto Pendleton and Hermiston, Oregon for pictures at the East Oregonian. I may have the order of places a bit out of order but it is close enough. My mom, Barbara (Rappaport) Zachs, a graduate of Miami Beach High School, contracted lung cancer in 2003 where I immediately moved back to Miami, Florida to help her and where I have been freelancing since 2003. Sadly my mom has passed.
