Moises's Story
During 7th grade, I was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome(a form of autism that can include behavioral issues). To add more to tragedy however, my parents overlooked the Asperger’s and I would be too partially impaired to know the disorder’s true nature for 10 years until finally rediscovering it through a buried pathologist document with similar social issues described with what I did before in 7th grade similar to what I did later…. During which I was mislead by my parents that it was a speech problem and was unable to tell my peers what was really wrong with me.
Unaware of the Asperger’s true nature, I had difficulties communicating with peers(they often talked like magic, but I struggled), I had some anger issues that I’m not naturally supposed to have and without knowing better was susceptible to anger and annoyance more easily. Whenever I was with some friends I would usually remain quite and pretend to understand jokes. My family back at home didn’t have a ‘cholo’ esque fashion and lifestyle like some of my peers and would later leave me to wear bland clothing later on(earlier I was given better clothes by others, but not anymore later). There were cases where former ...Expand for more
friendly peers became enemies after some inappropriate responses being left to struggle with communication issues. I sometimes didn’t hang out with friends properly, like not planning visits after school.
If I had to go back while knowing better, I would’ve joined the soccer and/or basketball teams, not just play with peers during lunch and P.E.
It was a long complicated story for me, but after finding the Asperger’s document and recalling every bad social situation that had happened. The Asperger’s “lack of empathy for others” symptom was so bad I even uncharacteristically declined easy offers to hang out with even two of my school crushes. And it affects the body to some extent, not just the behavioral, I haven’t aged well with it, especially since puberty(I miss my preteens).
I would refer to my past to help raise children and actually promise them into an actually better future.
I plan to adopt orphans, as I’ll never give the Asperger’s the right to be passed on to descendants after how much misery it tricked and caused me back there.
Among the orphans that I plan to adopt though will have to be one that’s a born autist. This time life will have to be done right for them.
