Mona's Story
Life
Married for nearly 44 years and have two adult children.
Have lived in New Brunswick since my family moved here in 1975.
Presently, we live along the scenic Saint John river just above Fredericton.
We're into the new house on the Mactaquac Headpond along the Saint John River in New Brunswick. . . gradually getting the landscaping done.
Love driving, got my motor cycle license when the kids were small and we biked as a family.
Enjoy travelling North America for business and to visit my family who is scattered across Canada. Collect antiques, mostly early Canadian and light fixtures. Obsessive compulsive gardener. Working on my family's genealogy and traced my husband's family back to the 1600's and mine more recently - to the 1500's. Discovered a number of years ago that my mother's family were United Empire Loyalists. I want to do a project combining the family tree with photography copy work.
Graduated from NBCCD's (college of Craft and Design)Photography course in 2002.
Have participated in a number of exhibitions (8)and had two pictures accepted for exhibition in Halifax at the MPPA Convention, had images published in a couple of Atlantic magazines, have done some drag racing photograph...Expand for more
y. Dabbled in photography related jobs: retouching and studio photography, and would love to do more freelance work when we get settled...keeping declining weddings.
I'm on facebook.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have coffee, coffee, and more coffee to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
Two people from my past who I'd most like to see again is Lydia Fabovsky and Kimberley Murphy, because I always wondered where their paths led. update: found 'em!
I love watching the wildlife here...eagles, ducks, geese, the huge fox that visits on occasion, the herd of deer that thundered through the yard but are seldom seen through the day...I need a longer lens so I can keep them! We feed the ravens every morning who sit on the deck railing and look in the kitchen window if we don't.
Mr. Weatherby - I would love to know how he is doing in his retirement...I would show him my art, photographs. Tell him what an impact he made in my life and trickle down effect to my children...by teaching what I was taught.
Miss Kalopisis(grades 2 and 3)is she back in Greece?
update: they've passed on.
My classmates would be amazed at how less reserved I can be...it's the coffee, it loosens the tongue.
