Monica's Story
Life
I am married, and have 6 beautiful smart healthy children. My oldest is 19, and going to college on scholarship(girl). My next is 16 (girl), and a junior in high school who plays water polo and is on the swim team. Then an 13 year old boy (8th) who is working on getting his Eagle in Boy Scouts and an 11 year old girl (6th) in art classes and a 9 year old girl (4th) who just got braces, and a girl who is now 20 months old and getting in all kinds of trouble. I used to teach ceramics, handbuilding, sculpting and the pottery wheel. Now I do baby handprints in clay and tile mural fundraisers for schools. I was married 3 times. I converted to the Latter Day Saints (Mormon) at 30 yrs. old. I am very active in church, in the past as a Den Leader for Boy Scouts, Ward Librarian, and Nursery leader. d write if I have the time (which is never now). I have several websites with my work displayed. I've lived in Southern California since 1987. I moved to Long Beach to go to Long Beach State U for physical therapy school, but did not get in and then they changed the program to a Master's Degree. I was a massage therapist and certified aerobic and fitness instructor and personal trainer for over 10 years, and taught anatomy and physiology and massage at a massage school. I wanted to be a Chiropractor, but I got married and started having children. I am a Freecycler and really into recycling. I owned and operated my own business almost always since graduation, first with the massage and personal training, then with the ceramic studio from 1997-2005. I taught preschool for a while, and also was a one on one instructional aide for a boy with cerebral palsy. I am doing my geneology for my family currently.
