Monique's Story
Life
Hello to any and all who read this.
My life is great right now. I must say that it took me a while to actually get on track, I've had many detour's and I can finally say that I'm headed in the right direction. I only had a handful of really close girlfriends that went to my school and they know who they are. Natalie, Zsa Zsa, you two were like sisters to me.And then there were too many boys to remember.... Life is good and it keeps getting better every day.. I have three beautiful girls who've helped me to grow up and face life for what it is. It's weird, I keep having these birthday's and my age keeps going up and up,....44 now. But, I don't feel like I'm approaching the "top of the hill". Denial is not just a river in Egypt....I know, I know. :)
My eldest daughter, Jennifer is 28 and gave me my first grandchild, a boy, Bailey he's 4 and in preschool. My other daughter Sara is 25 and working, and my youngest one is Hope, She's 17 and keeps me young. It's funny how life turn's out different then how you thought it would as a kid... I always did say I would be, "Monique Barton" when I grew up, and well, I am. Just not with the same guy...same last name though...life is life, and I'm loving it..I hope yours is great too, Thanks for reading my bio,
Monique
P.S. Some time has passed and my life just keeps getting better and better. I got married to a great guy and we moved to the Antelope Valley and bought a house. I work with the handicapped and I love it a lot.Anyway life is still strange............. but it's a good strange now!!!
P.S.S Okay, so it's been a while longer now and I've had my weight loss ...Expand for more
surgery. I'm down 175 pounds and feel great.
School
Wow, am I really suppose to remember that far back????? :)
Well El Marino Elementary was a long time ago and mostly what I remember is being the kissing bug. Junior high at CCJH was more of the same, I remember having bigger boobs then I wanted and ditching way more then I should have. High School was short lived at CCHS as in the middle of 10th grade I went to, (What was then called) Sunrise High Continuation. I took the GED in the middle of 11th grade and went to work after that at Mc Donalds.(I know, I know) Anyway after that, school went on the back burner, until my kid's were pretty much grown. Then I went back to an Adult Education School ( for late bloomers) and got my certification as a Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide. Top of my class mind you, if you can believed that.
Workplace
I work at LARC Ranch in Santa Clarita and it's working with Retarded adults... some may think it's weird, but you gotta love 'em. And somebody's got to do it right. anyway, I'm the Med Driver now and act as the liaison between the clients and their doctors . I like it a lot and it's a bit more challenging. I've put my plans of becoming an RN on hold for right now.
My life is pretty full scheduling and transporting all 100 clients to their many appts. I'm a very busy person, and I think it's a perfect fit for my life right now. Both of my 2 eldest daughters work at LARC Ranch where I work and they are care givers and really enjoy what they do. I think I'm pretty lucky to be able to have a job these day's, and to have one that I truly enjoy, is just icing on top of the cake.
