Monique's Story

...literally, when the bus dropped me off (and a bunch of you APPLAUDED and cheered, at the sight of the moving van at my house on Brittan - which about killed me) from the eighth grade picnic in June of 1978, we moved to Auburn...(outside Sacramento) as my dad retired. I missed the eighth grade graduation & I've always wondered what happened to all of you..... I graduated from Colfax High School in 1982. I got married in 1989, and moved to Texas, near Austin in 1992 - where I still live today. I was an at home Mom for many, many years but went to work as the records custodian for my local police department, and have been there for 15 years now. ood friends, good food and good wine. i have three great kids. One is starting her teaching career this fall, another is a decorated war veteran already, at only 21 (took a bullet in Afghanistan for us all, last year). The youngest, is a decorated war veteran and thr youngest, a senior in high school. i have occasion to remember some good timest in the hills of San Carlos. The life and times of our generation are those to cherish and appreciate, looking at our current political and financial climate. I sure wish I could go back. I have tried a few times, and as I'm sure you already know that, you can never really go back.... I sincerely hope that each of you has made a positive and healthy life for yourself and your family......
