Pam's Story
Life
After graduating from good ole' MHS, I attended Purdue University where I received a degree in Education, and then my Masters Degree in 1987. Next year will be my 27th year of teaching. I got my first teaching job back at my old middle school, Scott Middle School, and I taught with several of my old teachers--- a very interesting experience. I taught in the Hammond system for three years, then I was hired into the Whiting School system, where I have been teaching ever since. You might remember that I dated Tim Smith ( my husband) all through high school, well, he went to Whiting High School(where I teach) and that has also proved to be a very interesting experience. rs, Jillian (22)( Purdue) , Jessice (17) (about to be a senior and CPHS) and Jordan (13) (8th graders at Taft Middle School. My husband, Tim, is also a teacher and coaches our daughters in their softball adventures. We live in Crown Point. II enjoy working on the reunions to rekindle old friendships.
I especially like reconnecting closely with Teri Clinton (Childers) and Kathy Szopa (Schooler) when putting the reunions together. Old friends are the the best friends. I still keep in touch almost daily with Becky Pepper, she still makes me laugh and enjoy life. I see Debbie Hendrix, Lori Mambourg, Helen Pennington, and Jill Rucinski often.
Life is sure sweet at 50, kids on the way to adulthood and date night with the husband...sweet.
