Ms's Story
Ms Few's Journey:
"I am woman hear me roar..." Helen Redding
I am a woman, a mother, a grandmother, a poet/writer, a paralegal, and a crusader for abused children.
I love spending time with my two adult children and my grandson. I also love mentoring children in my community, especially, teenagers.
I had a wonderful life as a military spouse and mother of two. During those twenty years, I played volleyball, racketball, tennis, and chess. I also was a pharmacist tech., volunteer mentor, earned my college degrees, and I continued to roller-skate, bowl, and write. Being an officer's wife was rewarding and sometimes disappointing.
I learned how to socialize with the other officers and their wives, but I also learned how many things in this world are determined by your status. I did not approve of "punishment in the military being determined by your Rank in the military."
What do I believe, "Punishment should fit the crime in all situations - with the exceptions of: age and mental stability." I witnessed too many officers getting away with some things, just because of their Rank. However, those years were still some great years. I coached and played volleyball for many years - with four consecutive championship years of coaching and playing volleyball.
In the Beginning:
I was born and reared in Dayton, Ohio. I am the first born to my parents, Richard and Helen Few.
My life has taken me to: Illinois, Maine, Florida, Italy (my favorite), Michigan, New Hampshire, Washington (the state), Oregon, and Virginia. I went to Rome and took Pope John Paul's I picture the same week he died. I kept in touch with my Italian friends for a long time but I have since lost contact with them. I would love to go back to Italy and see them.
When I was just a little girl, I wanted to be:
A Poet and Writer,
A Wife, and
A Mother (I am or have been all three)
Since I have grown up, I thought about becoming:
A Lawyer, until I saw the OJ trial. Johnnie Cochran was brilliant but it is sad to know - a guilty or not guilty verdict is often determined by how much money you have?
It is also frustrating to know - our legal system is so condusive to Lying instead of Truth telling!
What I can never be:
A Singer, unless American Idol raises the age limit and I appear as a joke because I am tone death.
My favorite subjects were: Math, English, Literature, and Grammar. I now love just about every subject there is. I just Love Learning...
Mrs. Sewell who taught English was my favorite teacher of any teacher I ever had. She also taught my mother and father.
My classmates might be surprised to know: I once had a crush on an upper-classmate and I would call him and talk to him, but I did not tell him who I was.

Ms Few's Summary of Thoughts:
I now receive most of my pleasures from spending time with my adult children, my grandson, writing, and I still mentor teenagers - when I can.
I believe the most important reason for living is loving yourself and others; loving what you do, and giving back what you can to your community and your world. You cannot love others until you love yourself...
I shall leave this earth, knowing I never intentionally hurt another human being. I am an imperfect being, attempting to live an honest and good life.
My Life Motto Is: Living by the Golden Rule...My mother taught me to do this. I love both my parents and they each taught me a lot. If you live by the Golden Rule, you will also follow God's Rules...
My final thoughts should be: Through my words, I shall live forever!
I love my parents, children, grandchild, and all the children of the world. Be good and kind to all the children of the world, they are the future.
"Life is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you gonna get." - Forrest Gump.
Be kind and loving to all children; you do not have to whip a child to teach a child?
Do not place anyone on a Pedestal because they will fall off one day...and then what?
Life is fleeting: Prepare for tomorrow; Live for today! - Ms Few
Above all, do not forget to Live, Love, and Laugh.
