N. Lynne's Story
After graduating from Augustana College with music ed and theatre degrees, I went on tour with the band we started at Augustana-After Six. We toured the Midwest and Canada. We changed personnel, style, and toured with various groups all across the US. I lived, worked in Chicago area for many years; met John Lockrey(an avid Cub & Bear Fan) in 1982, moved to Madison, Wisconsin. Our daughter Jennifer was born in 1984 and lives in Chicago where she attends Columbia College as a musical theatre major. She sings with blues and rock bands and is an excellent composer. I graduated from UW Madison, continued to work in bands until 1994 when we moved to Coral Springs Florida. I am the Middle School Fine Arts Director at St. Andrew Catholic School ...Expand for more
in Coral Springs, also work as the parish accompanist and assistant music director. In my spare time I'm the music director for Pope John Paul II High School's Drama Department in Boca Raton. We are currently in tech week for "The King and I" which opens 3-28-08. We produced "Disney's High School Musical" last November.
We are all very busy. John, Jennifer and I get together on Christmas Eve each year to sing two of the evening masses. John writes music, too and is a blues singer. He has published 4 novels. We have two Boston Terriers, Diva and Jazzy. I don't think it is any surprise to anyone at UTHS that I am involved in music. I could tell you stories of the clubs I've played across the country--but another time. AND I am still short.
