Nakina's Story
I was always a bit of a dork and didn't really fit into the popular crowd in High School, but I still loved it. I was in Dixie's, VICA, Cosmetology, Choir, Drama, Student Council...I soaked in all I could because I knew it only got harder after HS!
I got married to Nick Hamblen one year after I graduated in 1977 and we had a son, Trevor. We were divorced about a year after he was born and I was single until Trevor was 8 yrs. old. He and I lived in Kansas City and New York City while I built my career in telecommunications. together for 21 years this December! He adopted our son, who is now 28 with three children of his own - our twin grandsons Jordan and Jonathan (9 yrs old today!) and our little princess of a granddaughter, Haylee (turning 5 this month). She has her granddad wrapped around her sweet little finger!
I have been in telecommunications for over 20 years - and it has been very very good to me! But, I'm tired of the rat race...so I have recently invested in and been named VP of Sales for a new company, TDPro, who makes high tech poker products! So now I get to travel around playing poker and making money at it whether I win or lose. Seriously. Does life get any better than that?
