Nancy's Story
I retired in 1996 from my civilian career in public relations with the U.S. Army and a year later from the U.S. Army Reserve as a Colonel.
Since then I moved three more times, (I've lived in 9 states after leaving Menominee).
I do volunteer work, fundraising and am a founding director and vice president of the Friends of the Army Women's Museum Association. Check out our web site-- Friends of the Army Women's Museum Association--we are a .org address and our Facebook page.
Much of my work is related to the U.S. Army Women's Museum at Fort Lee, Virginia. Visit the Museum online, too.
If you are an Army woman or know any current or former Army women, please let them know about their Museum!
And ...Expand for more
if you actually knew me in high school, you are welcom to friend me on Facebook--just make sure you identify who you are, particularly if I am not going to recognize your married name. I would love to reconnect with some of the people I have lost touch with through the years.
My hobbies are cooking, gardening, and traveling. I traveled overseas for business and now do it for pleasure. My photo was taken in Patras, Greece, with the Rion-Antrion Bridge in the background.
My husband, Curtis, and I have lived in Maryland for ten years--it is the longest I have lived in one residence since leaving home! Our daughter Victoria lives here and my niece Tacola (my brother Fred Buyarski's daughter) lives with us.
