Nancy's Story
Life
In retrospect, and as an objective observer (somewhat) of my life from high school to date, I must say that I am reasonably pleased at the way I 'turned out'. My husband and I live a rich life, infused with the luxury of good family members and friends (I do not measure "richness" in monetary terms, but comfort is nice).
I had been a draftsman and industrial designer for 22 years, and even taught my trade at a private technical college for three years. I am currently attending U. of H. for a career change - a degree major in business (entrepreneurship) and minor in Russian language. I plan to start my own business i...Expand for more
n the next two years. Look for "Pangaea" at the Pecan Festival in Austin, and at the Renaissance Festival at Plantersville! I will be selling my textile designs on scarves, ties, and simple clothing (and coordinating stone jewelry, hopefully). See you there!
As I reflect on the times we had in high school, I cannot help but note that we were especially fortunate. We were much safer then than our own children are now. Our generation had its problems, but those were nothing compared to the troubles rampant among our teenagers today. God bless everyone who is trying to raise a teenager in these times!
