Nancy's Story
I married Jurgen Meyer in 1967. We will be celebrating our 41st anniversay in September.
We have 4 children(2 boys, 2 girls) and 8 grandchildren all under the age of 5 years. We have 3 granddaughters and 5 grandsons. They are such a pleasure to have around. We are enjoying this stage of our lives.
My Mom and Dad lived for many years in Brossard after they left Granby. Mom passed away in 1995 and Dad died in 1999.
My sisters are doing well. Linda, Heather and Debbie trained for nursing careers. Heather and Debbie are still working in that field. Cindy received her degree in Phys Ed at McGill. Phyllis worked in accounting and I worked at a Marketing and Research firm until we started a family. And, in recent years I...Expand for more
have worked in office and retail positions.
Jurgen's Dad is doing very well. He is still living in the Eastern Townships. He celebrated his 96th birthday in May. He is quite amazing for his age. He is doing a little gardening at the retirement home where he is now living.
I have good memories of the Granby High days. I have learned to appreciate the fine teachers that were dedicated and committed and for the friendships I shared back in those years.
I love to garden. I knit and crochet and enjoy music and musicals. I enjoy spending time with family and friends.
And, I am getting to know all about Dora, Diego, the backyardigans, transformers, the classic princesses and tinkerbell. What a wonderful experience.
