Greetings to all of the Pilots of 1974! Haven't seen most of you since the 10-year reunion but hope to attend the 50-year in 2024. After graduating from Ohio Northern University in 1978 with a degree in Elementary Education, I moved out west to Scottsdale, Arizona. I earned a Master of Arts degree in Special Education from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, in 1984 and a Doctor of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 1995 from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. I taught elementary and special education in Phoenix-area public schools for 20 years before working as an educational consultant and licensed curriculum auditor (four years each) where I traveled across the country assisting underperforming schools in improving standardized achievement scores in locales such as the Bronx, New York, Compton, California, New Orleans, Louisiana, Baltimore, Maryland, and the rural areas of Georgia, Alabama, and Texas. Next, I worked ten years as a professor in the College of Education at Northern Arizona University teaching undergraduate and graduate level education courses at the satellite locations of Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. After specializing in assessment and evaluation, I have worked as a Director of Assessment at two medical colleges (Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Midwestern University's College of Veterinary Medicine). Through mutual friends, I met my husband, Scott Stackhouse, in 2006. We married in 2009 and will celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary this year!
