Nancy's Story
Life
Back then, I was Nancy Kennedy, smart ass extraordinaire. Only my name has changed!
My life is good, I married a great guy, Darryl, who believes I can do anything, and he's actually making ME believe it too!
We have two kids, Shawna (Born in 88), and Travis (born in 90) and they're my reason for being...I adore being a mother! Not always easy, but NEVER boring! My son has several disabilities, Autism, Bi-Polar, epilepsy, MR and he's AD/HD too. He's got problems, but he's a sweet kid who loves sports and lookin' at girls. His sister is a smart ass like her mother, with a heart of gold and a smile to match.
Any of you guys that know me, know I love bikes, and I finally got one of my own, a 1986 Rebel Limited. Yeah, it's a little bike, but it's MINE!!!! I took an online course so I could learn how to take care of it, and finished the two year course in just 9 months...and get THIS...I got a 96 overall score and completely ACED my final exam! ME, the one who graduated DEAD center of the class in 81!
I have started making and selling wood crafts, something I enjoy very much, but so far I'm not making any money at it.
My husband is a drag racer in his spare time, and I help out in the maintenance and upkeep of our 68 Nova, Wildthing. He wants me to try driving it on the strip.... but okay...I'm chicken!
We live in Houston, where my husband grew up. My kids had something I never had the chance to do...they grew up with their friends from Kindergarten on up to Shawna's senior year in '06.
I'm not rich, as far as money goes...probably never will be, but I've got wonderful friends & family and tha...Expand for more

I dated Joe Downin, much to my Mom's irritation, but I always had a secret crush on David Murphy. He was always nice to me, and I thought he was adorable!
Mrs. VanVoorhis was my all-time favorite teacher, she taught me so much, and showed me that a sense of humor is essential in dealing with kids.
My best buddy, Tanya Groll, and I irritating our bus driver all the way to school & back. Everyone on the bus was great.
Military
I went to RTC Orlando for bootcamp and spent my 21st birthday running around the Bluejacket, a mock ship we dubbed the U.S.S. Neversail. Bootcamp wasn't easy, but we had fun when the company commanders weren't looking. I was sent to NAS Lemoore for training then on to NAS Fallon, NV to become a member of VFA-125 Det Fallon. I had a blast there, we were all pretty much just a big family. When my first husband died and left me a 24 year old widow, I had the entire squadron of "big brothers" looking out for me. If any of you guys read this...THANK YOU, I wouldn't have made it without you guys! Going to the Nugget, and the Outback...and those awesome desert parties we had....SO many good memories!
I don't know where everyone has gone, except for my old pal Lisa, cuz she married the big squid Duane! (Love you guys..LOL)
I'm still in Houston, apparently forever... this is the longest I've ever been in one place in my entire LIFE! But at least my kids never had to uproot & change schools...
Love to hear from anyone from Fallon, or Lemoore...You all have a very special place in my heart.
