Nancy's Story
Life
After high school, I got various jobs, but ended up being a dental lab technician at Kingsport Dental Lab for 11 years. I enjoyed the work. My health started to deteriorate neurologically. I discovered in 1996 I had Multiple Sclerosis. For those who don't know what this is, its an auto-immune illness that attacks your nervous system and brain. I was very sick for a few years until I got stabilized on Betaseron medication. I continued...Expand for more
working through it all. Things were going very well until Feb. of 2000 when I had a very horrific car accident as some moron pulled out in front of me suddenly and I slammed into him head first. I broke both legs and right arm. That coupled with the MS has been.. difficult. I no longer work. I count my blessings every day that I'm still alive. I've never been married and have no kids. I'm pretty much the same girl you knew from school.
