Nancy's Story
Life
Spent years between 1980 and 1999 getting Ph.D. and doing field research in Africa on bonobos (pygmy chimpanzees) in Zaire. After that became untenable, worked at field stations in national parks in Madagascar and Uganda with lemurs, chimpanzees and mountain gorillas. ator for the Scherman Foundation, a small progressive foundation started by the man who started the Book of the Month Club. Richard is teaching biology and physics at St. Bernards School, a private school in Manhattan. We recently bought a cottage in Barryville, New York where we spend every weekend and many vacations and hope to retire there sometime in the nearish future.
2016 We are now fully retired and living full-time in Barryville. Loving life.
