Nancy's Story
My first job was at EKU, where I got paid $65/wk to be a secretary. What I remember most about it is I made some friends for life who I can count on for anything. Then I worked in a factory for 20 yrs. as secretary, machine operator, fork lift driver. At age 37, I decided to go to college & received my nursing degree 15 yrs. ago.
My oldest friends are my brothers & sisters: Anne, Bob, Becky, & Paul. My best friend is my daughter, Donna, who is married, has three daughters & is X-ray tech.
I would hope that old friends remember me not as short/blonde, but funny, good personality, outgoing, with a brain, and definitely not afraid of hard work.

as a good idea to start college at 37, but it was a wonderful experience/time of my life that I cherish.
My current age is 55. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely stupid..
If I won $100 million, I'd give $1 million of it to my daughter, brothers, sisters, mother in law, sisters & brothers in law, then spend the rest on travel, St. Jude's children, my church, some to all my alma maters,& jewelry, maybe..
My heroes & inspiration were my parents. Everything I know, I learned from them - hard work, giving unto others, building friendships/relationships, & strong family ties, donating time & money to good causes, saving money, doing without/being frugal, raising kids. They were the best parents in the world & I miss them daily.
