Nancy Lee's Story
Hi Classmate,
I was born in California, raised by paternal grandparents in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, after my parents divorced, then moved to my Dad's home in Missoula the week after school started my freshman year. The Freshman Building of MCHS was the current Hellgate High. Sophomore year, we freshman grads all went to the South Avenue building. After graduating in 1962, I attended MSU in Missoula for 2 years, ran out of money, and joined the Peace Corps. In November 1964, I went through 3 months of training in Hilo, Hawaii. Then finished up the 2 years in Gujarat, India, on the western coast north of Bombay, as a teacher in a girls high school and for a short time conducted an orientation to studying in the USA for Indian college students in Ahmedabad.

s married to an Air Force officer for 30 years, had two children, and now have 6 grandchildren.
My parents died relatively young and I went on a quest to find my long-lost brother, just 10 years younger than I. Kris Hendricks Grow in Washington state!! So I became quite interested in genealogy and family research.
My career turned out to be international in focus, either teaching or running a field office to assist others. I worked for OSCE, State Department, UN, USAID, and the Asia Foundation. I've monitored elections, learned several languages, and written about my experiences.
In 2015, I moved from Virginia back to Idaho to be closer to family and research my ancestry. So much left to do in life--writing and art projects, sightseeing, learning, and meeting interesting and fun people.
